The MER3-2000-15G3M-P is included in the MER3 2.5GigE lineup. This industrial-grade GigE vision camera features a 2.5GigE connection. GigE remains the predominant interface for cameras in conventional machine vision systems. The MER3 series offers high-resolution options compatible with both global and rolling shutter sensors.
This particular unit is suitable if your application meets these criteria:

- An industrial-grade imaging device
- Cable runs up to 100 meters supported
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Single cable connection for both power and data
- Physical dimensions: 29x29x50.6mm

For additional technical information, please refer to the MER3 2.5GigE manual.

MONOCHROME INDUSTRIAL CAMERA

A monochrome camera, often called a black and white camera, provides benefits in numerous industrial scenarios. While color cameras dominate the security sector, monochrome cameras are preferred in industrial environments due to their superior light sensitivity, enhanced image clarity, and reduced data volume compared to color models. These characteristics make them highly suitable for image analysis tasks. By choosing the appropriate lighting wavelength and lens filtering, a monochrome camera can maximize its performance, producing high-resolution images with excellent contrast.

POE INDUSTRIAL CAMERA

Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology for GigE cameras enables simultaneous delivery of power and data through a single Ethernet cable. This simplifies wiring and shortens installation time, especially in setups that do not require hardware triggers or I/O connections. For applications needing I/O, powering the camera via an I/O connector is recommended. Cameras consume more power when operated via PoE compared to I/O power, resulting in increased heat generation. PoE-enabled GigE cameras are physically larger than their non-PoE counterparts due to an additional PCB that isolates power from the Ethernet signal and steps down voltage. This extra hardware increases cost. The main benefit of PoE is simplified installation by reducing the number of cables required.

MTBF, WARRANTY & PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (approximately 45 years of continuous operation). These cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each model remains available for purchase for a minimum of 7 years following release, with many models supported for significantly longer periods.
