The Mercury 2 GigE camera lineup is designed for industrial vision applications and utilizes a GigE connection. GigE remains the preferred interface in conventional machine vision systems. Currently, this camera model does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE). The Mercury 2 series includes advanced capabilities such as decimation, binning, pixel skipping, image reversal, and digital shifting. Power for an industrial GigE camera without PoE is supplied through the I/O connector. This standard GigE camera variant is more cost-effective and generates less heat. It is also more compact than PoE-enabled models due to reduced hardware requirements. Using a GigE camera without PoE always necessitates an I/O cable connection.
