MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for significantly longer periods. For further details on our product life cycle management, please see this article.
Industrial monochrome / black&white camera
Monochrome cameras, also known as black and white cameras, provide benefits across numerous industrial applications. While color cameras dominate security and telephony markets, black and white cameras are preferred in industrial environments due to their enhanced light sensitivity up to three times greater sharper image quality, and reduced data volume compared to color cameras. This makes them particularly effective for image processing tasks. By choosing appropriate colored illumination and lens filters, additional image contrast can be achieved. The industrial monochrome camera delivers images with superior contrast and resolution.
I/O port for hardwaretrigger, strobecontrol or PLC communication
The USB camera s I/O interface utilizes an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a standard within the industrial machine vision sector. This camera includes an input port that functions as a hardware trigger. Its output can activate external devices such as industrial machine vision lighting. Additionally, it features two programmable GPIOs (General Purpose Input/Output) accessible via our SDK. Electrical wiring diagrams for the I/O connector are available in the manual. You may also consult our article: hardware triggering multiple industrial cameras.
If the I/O port is not required, the camera can be ordered without it. For large quantity orders, this option reduces the camera s cost by 10. The minimum order for an industrial USB3 camera without I/O is 10 units. To place an order for the USB3 camera without I/O, please contact our sales team.
