GigE Vision Camera OnSemi AR0522

The Mercury GigE camera lineup features industrial-grade vision cameras equipped with a GigE interface. GigE remains the predominant connection standard in conventional machine vision systems. This camera model is offered both with and without Power over Ethernet (PoE).
This particular unit suits applications that meet these criteria:
- Industrial-grade camera requirements
- Cable runs up to 100 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Single cable connection when using PoE
- Physical dimensions: 29x29x29mm (without PoE), 29x29x38 mm (with PoE)
- Optional support for hardware triggering

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market launch, with many models supported for considerably longer periods. Monochrome Camera

Monochrome, or black and white, cameras provide distinct benefits across numerous applications. While color cameras dominate sectors like security and telecommunications, industrial environments often prefer monochrome devices. These cameras exhibit heightened light sensitivity, deliver crisp imagery, and reduce data volume compared to color counterparts. This makes them particularly well-suited for image processing tasks. By choosing appropriate illumination wavelengths and lens filters, specific product features can be accentuated, enabling the capture of high-contrast, high-resolution images using monochrome cameras.

NIR

NIR cameras employ monochrome sensors optimized for the Near Infrared spectrum, covering wavelengths between 800 and 1000 nm. Typical IR LEDs emit at 850 nm or 930 nm. The photon-sensitive regions within the pixels of NIR cameras are positioned deeper than those in standard monochrome sensors, enhancing their ability to detect photons at these longer wavelengths (800-1000 nm). Due to this specialized design, NIR sensors generally have a higher cost than conventional monochrome cameras. These cameras are particularly suited for low-light scenarios such as intelligent transport systems (ITS) and medical imaging applications.

Industrial GigE camera without PoE

Industrial GigE cameras lacking PoE receive power through the I/O connector. This standard GigE variant is more cost-effective and produces less heat. Its design is more compact compared to PoE-equipped models, as it requires fewer hardware components. Using an industrial GigE camera without PoE necessitates a dedicated I/O cable connection.
