GigE Vision Camera Python1300

The Mercury 2 GigE camera lineup represents a professional industrial vision solution featuring a GigE connection. GigE remains the predominant interface for cameras in conventional machine vision systems. The Mercury 2 series incorporates sophisticated functions such as decimation, binning, pixel skipping, image reversal, and digital shifting. This particular model suits applications with the following criteria:
- Industrial-grade camera requirements
- Cable runs up to 100 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Compact dimensions of 29x29x40.3mm
- Optional support for hardware triggering

For comprehensive information, please refer to the industrial GigE Vision camera manual.

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a three-year warranty. Following their release, each camera model remains available for a minimum of seven years, with many maintaining a significantly longer lifecycle. Additional details about our product life cycle management can be found in this article.

Monochrome industrial camera

A monochrome or black and white camera delivers benefits across numerous applications. While color cameras dominate the security market, black and white cameras are preferred in industrial settings due to their heightened light sensitivity, ability to capture sharper images, and reduced data volume compared to color cameras. These attributes make them well-suited for image processing tasks. By choosing the appropriate lighting wavelength and lens filters, specific product features can be emphasized, enabling the production of high-contrast, high-resolution images using monochrome cameras.

Industrial camera with PoE

Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology for GigE cameras enables simultaneous delivery of power and data through a single standard Ethernet cable. This simplifies installation and decreases cabling requirements in scenarios where hardware triggering or I/O is unnecessary. For applications that do require I/O functionality, powering the camera via an I/O connector is recommended. When powered through PoE, the camera consumes more energy and generates additional heat. PoE-enabled GigE cameras are physically larger than their non-PoE counterparts due to an additional PCB that isolates power from the Ethernet signal and steps down the voltage. This extra hardware increases the cost relative to non-PoE versions. Nonetheless, PoE provides the advantage of easier installation by reducing cable complexity.
