VA Imaging MER2-134-90GC-VA 1/2" Color CMOS (OnSemi Python1300) Camera, 1.3 Megapixels, 1280 x 1024, 90 fps, Global Shutter, C-Mount, GigE Vision Output
GigE Vision Camera Python1300
The Mercury 2 GigE camera lineup represents an industrial vision solution equipped with a GigE interface. GigE remains the predominant connection type for cameras in standard machine vision setups. Currently, this camera model does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE). The Mercury 2 series incorporates advanced functionalities such as decimation, binning, pixel skipping, image reversal, and digital shifting. This particular model is suitable if your requirements include:
- An industrial-grade camera
- Cable runs up to 100 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Compact dimensions: 29x29x29mm
- Optional hardware trigger capability

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (approximately 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Post-launch, each camera model is supported for a minimum of 7 years, with many models enjoying significantly longer availability. Color industrial camera
Industrial color cameras utilize a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB value for each pixel is computed by combining the pixel s value with those of adjacent pixels, which results in images that are generally less sharp compared to monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filtering, each pixel, under white light, captures roughly 66% fewer photons than a monochrome sensor. This leads to reduced light sensitivity in color cameras. To address this, the following options are available: - Enhance illumination
- Increase camera gain
- Extend shutter speed or exposure time
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Use a lens optimized for better light gathering
Color industrial cameras are preferred in scenarios where color data is essential.
Industrial GigE camera without PoE
Power for an industrial GigE camera lacking PoE is delivered through the I/O connector. This standard GigE camera variant offers a lower cost and reduced heat output. Its design is more compact compared to PoE-enabled models due to fewer hardware components. Using an industrial GigE camera without PoE always necessitates an I/O cable connection.
