VA Imaging MER2-041-302GM-VA 1/2.9" Monochrome CMOS (Sony IMX287) Camera, 0.4 Megapixels, 720 x 540, 302 fps, Global Shutter, C-Mount, GigE Vision Output
GigE Vision Camera IMX287
The Mercury 2 GigE camera lineup consists of industrial-grade vision cameras equipped with a GigE interface. GigE remains the predominant interface standard for cameras in conventional machine vision systems. Currently, this model does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE). The Mercury 2 series incorporates advanced capabilities such as decimation, binning, pixel skipping, image reversal, and digital shifting. This particular model is suitable if your application meets these criteria: - Industrial-grade camera requirements - Cable length up to 100 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Compact size of 29x29x29mm
- Optional hardware trigger support

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to rigorous quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (approximately 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for considerably longer periods. Monochrome industrial camera
A monochrome or black and white camera provides benefits across numerous applications. While security markets often prioritize color imaging, industrial sectors leverage the advantages of monochrome cameras. These cameras offer heightened light sensitivity, deliver crisp images, and reduce data volume compared to color cameras, making them ideal for image processing tasks. By choosing appropriate illumination wavelengths and lens filters, specific product features can be emphasized, facilitating the capture of high-contrast, high-resolution images with monochrome cameras.
Industrial camera without PoE
Power for an industrial GigE camera lacking PoE is supplied through the I/O connector. This standard GigE camera variant is more cost-efficient and produces less heat. Due to fewer hardware components, it has a smaller form factor compared to PoE-equipped versions. Using a GigE camera without PoE always necessitates an I/O cable connection.
