MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to rigorous quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These cameras are TÜV Rheinland certified and come with a 3-year warranty. Each model remains available for a minimum of 7 years post-launch, with many models supported for significantly longer. For further details on our product life cycle management, please review this article.
Industrial monochrome / black&white camera
Monochrome cameras, also referred to as black and white cameras, provide benefits across numerous industrial applications. Unlike the consumer markets focusing on color imaging for security and telephony, industrial uses leverage the enhanced sensitivity and clarity of black and white sensors. These cameras can be up to three times more sensitive to light, deliver sharper images, and generate less data than color alternatives, facilitating more efficient image processing. By choosing the appropriate lighting color and lens filters, specific product features can be accentuated, enabling the capture of high-contrast, high-resolution images using monochrome cameras.
I/O port for hardwaretrigger, strobecontrol or PLC communication
The USB camera s I/O interface employs an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a standard in industrial machine vision. This camera includes an input for hardware triggering and an output that can activate external lighting sources, such as industrial machine vision lights. Additionally, it offers two programmable GPIOs (General Purpose Input/Output) accessible via our SDK. Electrical wiring diagrams for the I/O connector are available in the manual. You may also consult our article on hardware triggering multiple industrial cameras.
If the I/O port is not required, the camera can be ordered without it. For large volume orders, this option reduces the camera cost by 10. The minimum order quantity for USB3 cameras without I/O is 10 units. To place an order for the industrial USB3 camera without I/O, please get in touch with us.
