VA Imaging MER2-302-37GM-VA 1/1.8" Monochrome CMOS (Sony IMX265) Camera, 3.02 Megapixels, 2048 x 1536, 37 fps, Global Shutter, C-Mount, GigE Vision Output
GigE Vision Camera IMX265
The Mercury 2 GigE camera lineup represents an industrial vision solution equipped with a GigE interface. GigE remains the predominant connection standard for cameras in conventional machine vision systems. This camera model is offered in versions with and without Power over Ethernet (PoE). The Mercury 2 series incorporates advanced capabilities such as decimation, binning, pixel skipping, image reversal, and digital shifting. This particular model suits applications that meet the following criteria: - An industrial-grade camera - Cable length up to 100 meters maximum
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Single cable connectivity when PoE is used
- Physical dimensions: 29x29x29mm (without PoE), 29x29x38mm (with PoE)
- Optional hardware trigger support

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Following their market release, each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years, with many models supported for significantly longer. Monochrome industrial camera
A monochrome camera, also known as a black and white camera, delivers benefits across numerous applications. While color cameras dominate the security sector, industrial environments often prefer monochrome cameras due to their enhanced light sensitivity, superior image sharpness, and reduced data volume compared to color cameras. This makes them highly suitable for image processing tasks. By choosing appropriate lighting wavelengths and lens filters, a monochrome camera can maximize its performance characteristics. Industrial monochrome cameras produce images with strong contrast and high resolution.
Industrial camera without PoE
Power for an industrial GigE camera lacking PoE is supplied through the I/O connector. This standard GigE camera variant is more cost-effective and generates less heat. It is more compact than the PoE-equipped version because it requires fewer hardware components. Using an industrial GigE camera without PoE always necessitates an I/O cable connection.
