MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality controls. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (approximately 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each model remains available for a minimum of 7 years post-launch, with many products supported for significantly longer. For additional insights on our product life cycle management, please see this article.

Industrial monochrome / black&white camera

Monochrome cameras, also called black and white cameras, provide benefits across numerous industrial applications. While color cameras dominate security and telecommunication markets, industrial uses often favor monochrome models. These cameras offer up to three times greater light sensitivity, deliver sharper images, and reduce data volume compared to color cameras. This efficiency is advantageous for image processing tasks. By choosing appropriate colored illumination and lens filters, enhanced image contrast can be achieved. The industrial monochrome camera captures images with superior contrast and resolution.

I/O port for hardwaretrigger, strobecontrol or PLC communication

The USB camera s I/O interface uses an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a common standard in industrial machine vision. This device includes an input for hardware triggering and an output to activate external devices such as machine vision lighting. Additionally, it features two programmable GPIO pins accessible via our SDK. Electrical wiring diagrams for the I/O connector are available in the manual. For further guidance, see our article: hardware triggering multiple industrial cameras.

If the I/O port is not needed, the camera can be ordered without it. For bulk orders, this option reduces the camera s cost by 10. The minimum order quantity for a USB3 industrial camera without I/O is 10 units. To place an order for the USB3 camera without I/O, please contact us.
