VA Imaging MER2-202-60GM-VA 1/1.8" Monochrome CMOS (e2v EV76C570) Camera, 2.02 Megapixels, 1600 x 1200, 60 fps, Global Shutter, C-Mount, GigE Vision Output
GigE Vision Camera e2v EV76C570
The Mercury 2 GigE camera lineup represents an industrial vision solution equipped with a GigE interface. GigE remains the predominant connectivity standard for cameras in conventional machine vision systems. Currently, this camera is offered without Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability. The Mercury 2 series incorporates advanced functionalities such as decimation, binning, pixel skipping, image reversal, and digital shifting. This particular model suits applications meeting these criteria:
- Designed for industrial camera use
- Supports cable lengths up to 100 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Compact dimensions of 29x29x29mm
- Optional support for hardware triggering

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TUV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for significantly longer periods. Monochrome industrial camera
A monochrome camera, commonly referred to as a black and white camera, provides benefits across numerous applications. While color cameras dominate the security sector, industrial environments often prefer monochrome sensors due to their higher light sensitivity, enhanced image sharpness, and reduced data volume compared to color imaging. This makes them particularly suitable for image processing tasks. By selecting appropriate illumination colors and lens filters, a monochrome camera can leverage its inherent advantages. Industrial monochrome cameras produce images with strong contrast and high resolution.
Industrial camera without PoE
Power delivery for an industrial GigE camera lacking PoE is achieved through the I/O connector. Cameras without PoE are generally more affordable and generate less heat. Their design is more compact than PoE-equipped versions because they require fewer components. Using an industrial GigE camera without PoE necessitates an I/O cable connection at all times.
