VA Imaging MER2-1220-9GM-VA 1/1.7" Monochrome CMOS (Sony IMX226) Camera, 12.2 Megapixels, 4024 x 3036, 9 fps, Rolling Shutter, C-Mount, GigE Vision Output
GigE Vision Camera IMX226
The Mercury 2 GigE camera lineup represents an industrial-grade vision camera equipped with a GigE interface. GigE remains the predominant interface for cameras in conventional machine vision setups. Currently, this camera model does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE). The Mercury 2 series includes advanced capabilities such as decimation, binning, pixel skipping, image reversal, and digital shifting. This particular model suits applications that meet the following criteria: - An industrial-grade camera - Maximum cable length up to 100 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Compact dimensions of 29x29x29mm
- Optional hardware trigger support

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to rigorous quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Post-launch, each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years, with many models offering a significantly extended product lifespan. Additional details on our product life cycle management can be found in this article.
Monochrome industrial camera
A monochrome camera, also known as a black and white camera, provides benefits across numerous applications. While color cameras dominate the security sector, industrial environments leverage the advantages of monochrome imaging. These cameras exhibit high light sensitivity, deliver crisp images, and reduce data volume compared to color cameras, making them well-suited for image processing tasks. By choosing the appropriate lighting wavelength and lens filter, specific product features can be emphasized, enabling the capture of high-resolution, high-contrast images with a monochrome camera.
Industrial camera without PoE
Power for an industrial GigE camera without PoE is supplied through the I/O connector. This standard GigE camera variant is more cost-effective and produces less heat. Its design is more compact than PoE-enabled versions due to fewer hardware components. Using an industrial GigE camera without PoE always necessitates an I/O cable connection.
