MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually adhering to stringent quality protocols. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following market release, with many models supported for considerably longer periods. For further details on our product life cycle management, refer to this article.

Industrial monochrome / black&white camera

Monochrome cameras, also called black and white cameras, provide distinct benefits across various industrial applications. While consumer markets such as security and telecommunications prioritize color cameras, industrial sectors leverage the enhanced sensitivity and image clarity of monochrome sensors. These cameras can be up to three times more sensitive to light, deliver sharper images, and reduce data volume compared to color cameras. This makes them particularly effective for image processing tasks. By choosing the appropriate lighting wavelength and lens filtering, specific product features can be emphasized, enabling the capture of high-contrast, high-resolution images with monochrome cameras.

I/O port for hardwaretrigger, strobecontrol or PLC communication

The USB camera s I/O interface uses an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a widely adopted standard in industrial machine vision. This camera includes an input port that functions as a hardware trigger. Its output can activate external devices such as machine vision lighting systems. Additionally, there are two programmable GPIOs (General Purpose Input/Output) accessible via our SDK. Electrical wiring diagrams for the I/O connector are available in the manual. You may also review our article: hardware triggering multiple industrial cameras.

If the I/O port is not required, the camera can be ordered without it. For bulk orders, this option reduces the unit cost by 10. The minimum order quantity for cameras without I/O is 10 units. To place an order for the USB3 industrial camera without I/O, please contact us directly.
