This series incorporates high-resolution, low-noise global shutter sensors within a compact enclosure. USB3 serves as a high-speed interface tailored for industrial vision cameras, making it suitable for capturing high-resolution, high-speed images. The ME2P series offers a range of advanced capabilities. If you intend to utilize these advanced functions, please reach out so we can verify whether the specific feature is available or can be integrated for your needs. The ME2P USB3 Vision Color cameras include color correction to enhance image fidelity.
The ME2P USB3 Vision Camera series is particularly relevant if your application meets the following criteria:
- Compact industrial camera design
- Cable length up to 4.6 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Single cable connection for the device
- Hardware triggering and Digital I/O support
- Advanced image processing options

For further information, refer to the ME2P USB3 Vision camera manual.

MTBF, Warranty & Product Lifecycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for even longer periods. For more details on our product lifecycle management, please see this article.

Industrial Color Imaging Camera

A color camera utilizes a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB value for each pixel is derived by analyzing the pixel s value along with those of its neighboring pixels. This process results in images that are generally less sharp compared to those from monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filter on each pixel, under white light conditions, each pixel typically receives about 66% fewer photons than a monochrome sensor. Consequently, color cameras exhibit lower light sensitivity than monochrome models. To address this limitation, the following options are available:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Raise the gain setting
- Extend shutter speed or exposure duration
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Opt for a lens with enhanced light-gathering capability

Enhanced Vision Camera Capabilities

The ME2P USB3 Vision camera series includes both fundamental and advanced features, such as:
- Programmable Region of Interest (ROI) enabling higher frame rates via partial scanning
- Adjustable gain, exposure, and white balance (white balance applicable only to color models)
- Support for auto gain, auto exposure, and auto white balance (auto white balance exclusive to color models)
- Four acquisition modes: Single frame, Continuous, Software trigger, and External trigger
- Trigger options: Frame Start and Frame Burst Start
- Color correction support to enhance image quality (color models only)
- Exposure delay feature to minimize strobe delay effects
- Compatibility with GenICam and GigE Vision , allowing integration with various third-party software like HALCON and LabVIEW
- Optimized software designed to reduce CPU usage on 32/64-bit Windows hosts
- Multiple sample applications and an easy-to-integrate SDK supporting diverse programming environments
- Compliance with CE, RoHS, GenICam, and USB3 Vision standards

These comprehensive features make the ME2P USB3 Vision camera series an excellent option for demanding image processing applications.
