MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Following their release, each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years, with many models supported for significantly longer periods. For further details on our product life cycle management, please consult the linked article.

Industrial Color Camera

A color camera utilizes a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB value for each pixel is computed by combining the pixel s value with those of surrounding pixels. This process results in images that are generally less sharp compared to monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filters on each pixel, under white light conditions, a color camera receives approximately 66% fewer photons per pixel than a monochrome camera, reducing its light sensitivity. To address this limitation, the following measures can be applied:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Raise the gain setting
- Extend shutter speed or exposure time
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Utilize a lens designed for greater light sensitivity

Advanced vision camera features

The ME2P USB3 Vision camera series includes both fundamental and enhanced features such as:
- Programmable region of interest (ROI) enabling higher frame rates via partial scanning
- Adjustable gain, exposure, and white balance settings (white balance applicable to color models only)
- Support for automatic gain, exposure, and white balance adjustments (auto white balance limited to color models)
- Four acquisition modes: Single frame, continuous, software-triggered, and external trigger
- Trigger options: Frame Start and Frame Burst Start
- Color correction support to improve image fidelity (color models only)
- Exposure delay feature to mitigate strobe timing effects
- Compatibility with GenICam and GigE Vision standards, allowing direct use with various third-party software like HALCON and LabVIEW
- Optimized software suite designed to reduce CPU load on 32/64-bit Windows hosts
- Multiple sample applications and an easy-to-integrate SDK supporting various programming environments
- Compliance with CE, RoHS, GenICam, and USB3 Vision regulations

These comprehensive features make the ME2P USB3 Vision camera series an excellent option for demanding image processing tasks.
