USB3 Vision Camera GMAX2518

The Mercury 2 Pro USB3 Vision Camera lineup represents a range of industrial cameras equipped with a USB3 Vision interface. These industrial cameras incorporate high-resolution, low-noise global shutter sensors within a compact enclosure. USB3 serves as a high-speed connection standard for industrial vision cameras, making it suitable for capturing high-resolution and high-speed images. The ME2P series offers advanced capabilities. Should you require assistance with these features, please reach out to us to verify availability or potential implementation. The ME2P USB3 Vision Color cameras include color correction functions to enhance image quality.
The ME2P USB3 Vision Camera series is well-suited for applications that meet the following criteria:
- Compact form factor for industrial use
- Maximum cable length up to 4.6 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Single-cable connection for device interface
- Hardware triggering and digital I/O support
- Advanced image processing functionalities

For additional information, please refer to the ME2P USB3 Vision camera manual.

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a three-year warranty. Following their release, each camera model remains available for a minimum of seven years, with many models supported for even longer periods. Industrial Color Camera

A color camera utilizes a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB values for each pixel are computed by combining the pixel s value with those of adjacent pixels. This process results in images that are generally less sharp compared to monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filters on each pixel, under white light conditions, each pixel receives approximately 66% fewer photons than a monochrome sensor, leading to reduced light sensitivity in color cameras. To address this limitation, the following measures can be applied:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Raise the sensor gain
- Extend shutter speed or exposure duration
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Select a lens optimized for greater light transmission

Advanced vision camera features

The ME2P USB3 Vision camera series integrates both fundamental and enhanced features, including:
- Configurable ROI to boost frame rates via partial scanning
- Programmable gain, exposure, and white balance (white balance applicable only to color models)
- Support for auto gain, auto exposure, and auto white balance (auto white balance exclusive to color models)
- Four acquisition modes: Single frame, continuous, software-triggered, and external trigger
- Trigger options: Frame Start and Frame Burst Start
- Color correction support to improve image fidelity (color models only)
- Exposure delay function to minimize strobe timing effects
- Compatibility with GenICam and GigE Vision , enabling integration with third-party software like HALCON and LabVIEW
- Optimized software to reduce CPU usage on 32/64-bit Windows hosts
- Comprehensive SDK samples facilitating integration with various programming environments
- Compliance with CE, RoHS, GenICam, and USB3 Vision standards

These extensive features make the ME2P USB3 Vision camera series a reliable solution for demanding image processing applications.
