These cameras incorporate high-resolution, low-noise global shutter sensors housed in a compact design. USB3 serves as a high-speed connection ideal for capturing high-resolution and high-frame-rate images in industrial settings. The ME2P series offers advanced capabilities. Should you require specific advanced features, please reach out to us to verify availability or potential implementation. The ME2P USB3 Vision Color cameras include color correction functionality to enhance image quality.
The ME2P USB3 Vision Camera series is suitable for applications that meet the following criteria:
- Compact industrial camera design
- Cable length up to 4.6 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Single-cable connection for the device
- Hardware triggering and Digital I/O support
- Advanced image processing options

For additional information, please refer to the ME2P USB3 Vision camera manual.

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following market release, with many models supported for longer periods. Industrial Color Camera

A color camera utilizes a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB values for each pixel are computed by combining the pixel s value with those of its neighboring pixels. This process results in images that are generally less sharp compared to monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filter applied to each pixel, under white light conditions, each pixel receives approximately 66% fewer photons than a monochrome sensor. Consequently, color cameras have lower light sensitivity than monochrome ones. To address this, the following adjustments can be made:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Raise the gain setting
- Extend shutter speed or exposure time
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Opt for a lens with greater light sensitivity

Advanced vision camera features

The ME2P USB3 Vision camera series includes both fundamental and enhanced features, such as:
- Configurable ROI allowing higher frame rates through partial scanning
- Programmable gain, exposure, and white balance (white balance applicable only to color models)
- Support for auto gain, auto exposure, and auto white balance (white balance auto only for color variants)
- Four acquisition modes: Single frame, Continuous, Software trigger, and External trigger
- Trigger modes include Frame Start and Frame Burst Start
- Color correction support to improve image fidelity (color models only)
- Exposure delay function to minimize strobe delay effects
- Compatibility with GenICam and GigE Vision , enabling integration with various third-party software such as HALCON and LabVIEW
- Optimized software package designed for reduced CPU load on 32/64-bit Windows hosts
- Multiple sample applications and an easy-to-use SDK supporting various programming environments
- Compliance with CE, RoHS, GenICam, and USB3 Vision standards

These comprehensive features establish the ME2P USB3 Vision camera series as an excellent option for demanding image processing tasks.
