MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models offering an even longer lifecycle. Industrial Color Camera
A color camera utilizes a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB value for each pixel is computed by combining the pixel s value with those of adjacent pixels. This process results in images that are generally less sharp compared to those from monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filters on the sensor pixels, each pixel receives approximately 66% fewer photons under white light conditions than a monochrome sensor, reducing light sensitivity. To address this limitation, the following options can be considered:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Raise the sensor gain
- Extend shutter speed or exposure duration
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Opt for a lens with greater light transmission
Advanced vision camera features
The ME2P USB3 Vision camera series integrates both fundamental and sophisticated features, including:
- Programmable region of interest (ROI) enabling higher frame rates through partial scanning
- Adjustable gain, exposure, and white balance settings (white balance applicable only to color models)
- Support for automatic gain, exposure, and white balance adjustments (white balance auto only for color models)
- Four acquisition modes: single frame, continuous, software trigger, and external trigger
- Trigger options: Frame Start and Frame Burst Start
- Color correction support to enhance image fidelity (color models only)
- Exposure delay feature to mitigate strobe delay effects
- Compatibility with GenICam and GigE Vision standards, allowing integration with various third-party software such as HALCON and LabVIEW
- Optimized software suite designed to reduce CPU usage on 32/64-bit Windows hosts
- Multiple sample applications and an easy-to-use SDK supporting diverse programming environments
- Compliance with CE, RoHS, GenICam, and USB3 Vision regulations
These comprehensive capabilities position the ME2P USB3 Vision camera series as an excellent option for demanding image processing applications.
