For further information, you may consult the ME2P USB3 Vision camera manual.

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years after market release, with many models enjoying significantly longer lifespans. Industrial Color Camera

A color camera utilizes a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB values for each pixel are computed by combining the pixel s own data with that of adjacent pixels. This process results in images that are generally less sharp compared to monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filter, each pixel receives approximately 66% fewer photons under white light conditions than a monochrome sensor, making color cameras inherently less sensitive to light. To address this limitation, the following approaches can be applied:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Raise the sensor gain
- Extend shutter speed or exposure duration
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Opt for a lens with better light-gathering capability

Advanced vision camera features

The ME2P USB3 Vision camera series integrates both fundamental and sophisticated features, including:
- Configurable ROI enabling higher frame rates via partial scanning
- Programmable gain, exposure, and white balance (white balance applicable to color variants only)
- Support for auto gain, auto exposure, and auto white balance (auto white balance exclusive to color models)
- Four acquisition modes: Single frame, Continuous, Software trigger, and External trigger
- Trigger options: Frame Start and Frame Burst Start
- Color correction support to enhance image quality (color models only)
- Exposure delay functionality to mitigate strobe delay effects
- Compatibility with GenICam and GigE Vision , enabling use with various third-party software such as HALCON and LabVIEW
- Optimized software suite designed to reduce CPU load on 32/64-bit Windows systems
- Multiple sample applications and an easy-to-integrate SDK supporting diverse programming environments
- Compliance with CE, RoHS, GenICam, and USB3 Vision standards

These comprehensive capabilities position the ME2P USB3 Vision camera series as an excellent solution for demanding image processing tasks.
