GigE Vision Camera IMX432

The Mercury 2 Pro GigE Vision Camera lineup represents an industrial imaging solution featuring a GigE Vision interface. This series incorporates high-resolution, low-noise global shutter sensors housed in a compact enclosure. GigE remains the prevalent interface for cameras in conventional machine vision setups. The ME2P series offers sophisticated capabilities. Should you require clarification on specific functionalities or their availability, please reach out to us for verification or potential implementation. It also includes the ability to "remove parameter limit," allowing extended ranges for exposure, gain, white balance, and more. Exposure durations up to 10 seconds can be configured.
The GigE Vision Camera series is suitable for applications that meet the following criteria:
- Compact global shutter camera with high resolution
- Cable runs up to 100 meters supported
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Single cable connection needed for the camera
- Enhanced image processing functionalities

For further technical details, please refer to the ME2P GigE Vision camera manual.

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually under stringent quality controls. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for significantly longer periods. Industrial Color Camera

A color camera employs a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB value for each pixel is derived by combining the pixel s own value with those of adjacent pixels. This process results in images that are generally less sharp compared to monochrome cameras. Due to the RGB filters on the sensor pixels, each pixel captures up to 66% fewer photons under white light conditions than a monochrome sensor, reducing light sensitivity. To address this limitation, the following strategies can be applied:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Adjust gain settings higher
- Extend shutter speed or exposure time
- Choose a sensor with greater light sensitivity
- Use a lens optimized for higher light transmission
Compared to typical security cameras and webcams, industrial color cameras feature larger and more light-sensitive pixels, delivering superior image quality.

Advanced vision camera features

The ME2P GigE Vision camera series integrates both fundamental and enhanced capabilities, including:
- Programmable Region of Interest (ROI) enabling higher frame rates via partial scanning
- Adjustable gain, exposure, and white balance settings (white balance applicable to color models only)
- Support for automatic gain, exposure, and white balance controls (auto white balance for color models only)
- Four acquisition modes: Single frame, continuous, software-triggered, and external-triggered capture
- Compliance with GenICam and GigE Vision standards, ensuring compatibility with a broad range of third-party software such as HALCON and LabVIEW
- Multiple sample applications and a user-friendly SDK supporting various programming environments
- Certifications including CE, RoHS, GenICam, and GigE Vision

These comprehensive features make the ME2P GigE Vision camera series an excellent option for demanding image processing tasks.
