10GIGE VISION CAMERA GMAX2518

The Mars 10GigE lineup features an industrial-grade vision camera equipped with a 10GigE connection. This interface is optimal for capturing high-resolution or rapid imaging data, especially when cable runs exceed 5 meters. The 10GigE interface delivers speeds ten times faster than standard GigE Ethernet cameras and doubles the speed of USB3 connections.
This 10 GigE camera model is suitable if your application meets the following criteria:

  • A requirement for an industrial camera with either high speed or high resolution
  • Capability to support cable lengths up to 100 meters using cat6a or superior cabling
  • Cost-effective and simple cable installation
  • Physical dimensions measuring 60x60x54mm

Operating this camera necessitates a 10GigE framegrabber. If your system lacks a 10GigE port, we suggest the VA-PCIe4-10GP-1 framegrabber. For further information, please refer to the manual.

INDUSTRIAL 10GIGE CAMERA WITHOUT POE

This 10GigE camera series does NOT support Power over Ethernet (PoE). Ensure you order an appropriate I/O cable designed for MARS cameras to supply power to the device.

COLOR INDUSTRIAL CAMERA

An industrial color camera uses a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB color value for each pixel is computed by analyzing the pixel’s own data along with the values of adjacent pixels. This process results in images that are less sharp compared to those from monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filter on each pixel, under white light conditions, each pixel captures approximately 66% fewer photons than a monochrome sensor, making color cameras less sensitive to light. To address this limitation, the following options can be considered:

  • Enhance the illumination intensity
  • Raise the gain setting
  • Extend shutter speed or exposure duration
  • Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
  • Opt for a lens with improved light transmission

Color industrial cameras are typically employed in scenarios where capturing color information is essential.

MTBF, WARRANTY & PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality protocols. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for significantly longer periods.
