MONOCHROME INDUSTRIAL CAMERA

A monochrome camera, also referred to as a black and white camera, provides benefits across numerous applications. While color cameras dominate the security sector, industrial environments often prefer monochrome cameras due to their higher light sensitivity, enhanced image sharpness, and lower data volume compared to color cameras. These features make them particularly suitable for image analysis tasks. By choosing the appropriate lighting wavelength and lens filtering, a monochrome camera can maximize its performance, producing high-contrast, high-resolution images.

POE INDUSTRIAL CAMERA

Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology for GigE cameras delivers both electrical power and data transmission through a single Ethernet cable. This simplifies cabling and reduces installation time in scenarios where hardware triggers or I/O are unnecessary. For applications requiring I/O, powering the camera via the dedicated I/O connector is recommended. PoE operation results in higher power consumption and increased heat generation within the camera. Cameras equipped with PoE are physically larger than their non-PoE counterparts due to an additional PCB that isolates power from the Ethernet signal and steps down voltage. This extra hardware increases cost compared to non-PoE models. The primary advantage of PoE is simplified installation, as fewer cables are needed.

MTBF, WARRANTY & PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (approximately 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for significantly longer periods.
