Industrial USB 3.0 Vision camera IMX178

The Mercury2 USB3.0 camera is designed as an industrial vision device featuring a USB 3.0 interface. USB 3.0 provides a suitable connection for cameras requiring both high resolution and rapid data transfer rates. This interface works well with embedded systems such as Raspberry Pi (version 4 or newer), NVIDIA platforms, as well as conventional PC architectures.
This industrial vision camera model is ideal if your application meets the following criteria:

- Cable length up to 4.5 meters (extendable to 10 meters using optical USB3 cable)
- Single-cable connection for device interface
- Compact size measuring 29x29x29mm

Industrial monochrome / black&white camera

A monochrome camera, also referred to as a black and white camera, offers distinct benefits across various industrial applications. While color cameras dominate markets like security and telecommunications, industrial sectors favor monochrome cameras for their superior performance. Black and white sensors are up to three times more sensitive to light, deliver sharper images, and reduce data volume compared to color cameras. These characteristics enhance image processing efficiency. By choosing appropriate colored illumination and lens filters, additional image contrast can be achieved. This industrial monochrome camera produces images with excellent contrast and high resolution.

I/O port for hardwaretrigger, strobecontrol or PLC communication

The USB camera s I/O interface utilizes an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a standard in industrial machine vision. This camera includes an input for hardware triggering to initiate image capture. Its output can activate external devices such as industrial machine vision lighting. Additionally, the camera features two programmable GPIOs (General Purpose Input/Output) accessible via our SDK.
