MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each model remains available for a minimum of 7 years after its release, with many products offering an extended lifecycle. For further details on our product life cycle management, please refer to this article.
Industrial monochrome / black&white camera
A monochrome camera, or black and white camera, provides benefits across numerous industrial applications. While color cameras dominate security and telecommunications sectors, black and white cameras are preferred in industrial environments. They exhibit up to three times greater sensitivity to light, deliver sharper images, and generate less data compared to color cameras. This makes them ideal for image processing tasks. By choosing the appropriate lighting wavelength and lens filter, specific product features can be emphasized, enabling the capture of high-contrast, high-resolution images using monochrome cameras.
I/O port for hardwaretrigger, strobecontrol or PLC communication
The USB camera s I/O interface utilizes an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a common standard within the industrial machine vision sector. This camera includes an input port that functions as a hardware trigger. Its output can activate external devices such as industrial lighting systems. Additionally, the camera provides two programmable GPIO pins accessible via our SDK. Electrical schematics for the I/O connector are available in the user manual. You may also review our article on hardware triggering for multiple industrial cameras.
If the I/O port is not required, the camera can be ordered without it. For bulk orders, this option reduces the camera s cost by 10. The minimum order quantity for USB3 cameras without I/O is 10 units. To place an order for this variant, please contact us directly.
