GigE Vision Camera IMX264

The Mercury 2 GigE camera lineup represents an industrial-grade vision camera equipped with a GigE interface. GigE remains the predominant interface in conventional machine vision setups. Currently, this camera model does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE). The Mercury 2 series includes advanced functionalities such as decimation, binning, pixel skipping, image reversal, and digital shifting. This particular model suits your needs if your application meets these criteria: - An industrial-grade camera - Cable length up to 100 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Compact dimensions: 29x29x29mm
- Optional hardware trigger support

For further technical information, please refer to the industrial GigE Vision camera manual.

MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to rigorous quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for even longer. Additional details on our product life cycle management can be found in this article.

Monochrome industrial camera

A monochrome or black and white camera offers specific benefits across multiple use cases. While color cameras dominate the security sector, industrial environments favor monochrome cameras due to their heightened light sensitivity, sharper image output, and reduced data volume compared to color cameras. These characteristics make them well-suited for image processing tasks. By choosing appropriate lighting wavelengths and lens filters, key product features can be emphasized, enabling the capture of high-resolution, high-contrast images using monochrome cameras.

Industrial camera without PoE

Power for an industrial GigE camera without PoE is delivered through the I/O connector. This standard GigE camera variant is more cost-effective and produces less heat. Its design is more compact than PoE-enabled versions due to fewer hardware components. Using an industrial GigE camera without PoE always requires connection via an I/O cable.
