MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually adhering to stringent quality protocols. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for considerably longer periods. Additional details about our product life cycle management can be found in this article.
Industrial monochrome / black&white camera
Monochrome or black and white cameras provide distinct benefits across various industrial applications. While color cameras dominate sectors like security and telecommunications, black and white cameras are preferred in industrial environments. These cameras offer up to three times greater light sensitivity, deliver sharper images, and reduce data volume compared to color models. This makes them particularly advantageous for image processing tasks. By choosing appropriate colored illumination and lens filters, enhanced image contrast can be achieved. The industrial monochrome camera captures images with superior contrast and resolution.
I/O port for hardwaretrigger, strobecontrol or PLC communication
The USB camera s I/O interface uses an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a common standard in industrial machine vision. This camera includes an input for hardware triggering. Its output can activate external devices such as industrial machine vision lighting. Additionally, it features two programmable GPIOs (General Purpose Input/Output) accessible via our SDK. Electrical wiring diagrams for the I/O connector are detailed in the manual. You may also refer to our article: hardware triggering multiple industrial cameras.
If the I/O port is unnecessary for your application, the camera can be ordered without it. For bulk orders, this option reduces the camera cost by 10. The minimum order quantity for USB3 cameras without I/O is 10 units. To place an order for the industrial USB3 camera without I/O, please contact us.
