MTBF, Warranty, and Product Lifecycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for significantly longer periods. For additional details on our product lifecycle management, please refer to this article.
Monochrome Industrial Camera
Monochrome cameras, also referred to as black and white cameras, provide distinct benefits in numerous industrial applications. While color cameras dominate sectors like security and telecommunications, industrial environments often prefer monochrome sensors. These cameras offer up to three times greater light sensitivity, deliver sharper images, and reduce data volume compared to color cameras. This makes them particularly effective for image processing tasks. By selecting appropriate colored illumination and lens filters, enhanced image contrast can be achieved. The industrial monochrome camera produces images with superior contrast and resolution.
I/O Interface for Hardware Triggering, Strobe Control, and PLC Communication
The USB camera s I/O port utilizes an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a standard in industrial machine vision applications. This camera includes an input for hardware triggering. Its output can activate external devices such as industrial machine vision lighting. Additionally, it provides two programmable GPIO pins accessible via our SDK. Electrical wiring diagrams for the I/O connector are included in the user manual. For further guidance, see our article on hardware triggering multiple industrial cameras.
If the I/O port is not required, the camera can be ordered without it. For bulk orders, this option lowers the camera s cost by 10 per unit. The minimum order quantity for the USB3 camera without I/O is 10 units. To request a version without I/O, please contact our sales team.
