MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a three-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of seven years following its market release, with many models supported for significantly longer. Industrial monochrome / black&white camera
A monochrome camera, also referred to as a black and white camera, provides benefits across various industrial applications. While color cameras dominate sectors like security and telecommunications, industrial environments often prefer monochrome cameras for their superior light sensitivity up to three times greater sharper image quality, and reduced data volume compared to color cameras. This makes them particularly effective for image processing tasks. By choosing the appropriate lighting wavelength and lens filters, specific product features can be accentuated, enabling the capture of high-contrast, high-resolution images using monochrome cameras.
I/O port for hardwaretrigger, strobecontrol or PLC communication
The USB camera s I/O interface uses an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a common standard in industrial machine vision. This model includes an input port for hardware triggering the camera. Its output can activate external devices such as industrial machine vision lighting. Additionally, the camera offers two programmable GPIOs (General Purpose Input/Output) accessible via our SDK. Electrical schematics for utilizing the I/O connector are available in the manual. You may also refer to our article: hardware triggering multiple industrial cameras.
