MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality benchmarks. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for significantly longer durations. Monochrome industrial camera
A monochrome camera, also referred to as a black and white camera, offers distinct benefits across numerous applications. While color cameras dominate the security sector, industrial environments leverage the strengths of monochrome imaging. These cameras exhibit high sensitivity to light, deliver crisp image quality, and reduce data volume compared to color alternatives. This makes them especially suitable for image analysis. By choosing the appropriate illumination wavelength and lens filtering, specific product features can be accentuated, enabling the capture of high-contrast, high-resolution images using monochrome cameras.
Industrial camera with PoE
Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology for GigE cameras enables simultaneous transmission of power and data through a single Ethernet cable. This simplifies cabling requirements and shortens installation time in scenarios where hardware triggering or I/O is not necessary. For applications requiring I/O functionality, powering the camera via an I/O connector is recommended. Cameras powered through PoE consume more energy than those powered via I/O connectors and generate additional heat. PoE-enabled GigE cameras are physically larger than their non-PoE counterparts due to an extra PCB that isolates power from the Ethernet signal and steps down voltage. This additional hardware increases cost compared to models without PoE. The primary benefit of PoE is streamlined installation with fewer cables needed.
