GigE Vision Camera GMAX2509
The Mercury 2 Pro GigE Vision Camera lineup represents an industrial-grade vision camera equipped with a GigE Vision interface. This series incorporates high-resolution, low-noise global shutter sensors housed within a compact design. GigE remains the prevalent interface choice for cameras in conventional machine vision scenarios. The ME2P series includes enhanced functionalities. Should you require these advanced capabilities, please reach out to us for confirmation on availability or potential implementation. It also supports "removal of parameter limits" to broaden exposure, gain, white balance, and other settings, allowing exposure durations up to 10 seconds.
The GigE Vision Camera series is suitable for applications that meet the following criteria:
- Compact, high-resolution global shutter camera
- Cable runs up to 100 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Single cable connection to the industrial camera
- Advanced image processing capabilities
For further technical details, please refer to the ME2P GigE Vision camera manual.
MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years post-launch, with many models supported for significantly longer. Industrial Color Camera
Color cameras utilize a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB values for each pixel are derived by analyzing the pixel s intensity along with that of adjacent pixels. This processing typically results in images that are less sharp compared to monochrome cameras. Due to the RGB filter, each pixel captures approximately 66% fewer photons under white light conditions than a monochrome pixel, reducing light sensitivity. To address this limitation, the following adjustments can be made:
- Increase illumination
- Raise gain settings
- Extend shutter speed or exposure time
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Select a lens optimized for light sensitivity
Unlike security cameras or webcams, industrial color cameras feature larger, more light-sensitive pixels, delivering superior image quality.
Advanced vision camera features
The ME2P GigE Vision camera series offers a combination of standard and enhanced features, including:
- Programmable region of interest (ROI) for higher frame rates via partial scanning
- Adjustable gain, exposure, and white balance (white balance applicable to color models only)
- Support for automatic gain, exposure, and white balance (auto white balance limited to color models)
- Four acquisition modes: Single frame, continuous, software-triggered, and hardware-triggered capture
- Compliance with GenICam and GigE Vision standards, enabling compatibility with numerous third-party software platforms such as HALCON and LabVIEW
- Multiple sample applications and an easy-to-integrate SDK compatible with various programming environments
- Certifications and standards compliance: CE, RoHS, GenICam, GigE Vision
These comprehensive features position the ME2P GigE Vision camera series as an excellent solution for demanding image processing tasks.
