GigE Vision Camera GMAX2505

The Mercury 2 Pro GigE Vision Camera lineup represents an industrial-grade vision camera equipped with a GigE Vision interface. This series offers high-resolution, low-noise global shutter sensors housed in a compact design. GigE remains the prevalent interface choice for cameras in conventional machine vision setups. The ME2P series includes advanced functionalities. If you require specific advanced features, please reach out to us so we can verify their availability or potential implementation for your needs. Additionally, it supports "remove parameter limit" functionality to broaden exposure, gain, white balance, and other settings. Exposure durations can extend up to 10 seconds.
The GigE Vision Camera series is suitable for applications that meet the following criteria:
- Compact, high-resolution global shutter camera
- Cable lengths up to 100 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Single-cable connection for the industrial camera
- Enhanced image processing capabilities

For further technical details, please consult the ME2P GigE Vision camera manual.

MTBF, Warranty & Product Life Cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following market release, with most models supported for significantly longer periods. Industrial Color Camera

A color camera utilizes a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB value for each pixel is computed by combining the pixel s value with those of adjacent pixels. This process results in images that are generally less sharp than those from monochrome cameras. Because of the RGB filter, each pixel captures up to 66% fewer photons under white light compared to monochrome sensors, reducing light sensitivity. To address this limitation, the following approaches are available:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Raise the gain setting
- Extend shutter speed or exposure time
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Opt for a lens with improved light sensitivity
Compared to typical security cameras and webcams, industrial color cameras feature larger, more light-sensitive pixels, delivering superior image quality.

Advanced Vision Camera Features

The ME2P GigE Vision camera series incorporates both basic and advanced capabilities, including:
- Programmable Region of Interest (ROI) allowing higher frame rates via partial scanning
- Adjustable gain, exposure, and white balance (white balance applicable only to color variants)
- Support for automatic gain, exposure, and white balance control (auto white balance exclusive to color models)
- Four acquisition modes: Single frame, continuous, software-triggered, and external-triggered acquisition
- Compliance with GenICam and GigE Vision standards, enabling compatibility with numerous third-party software platforms such as HALCON and LabVIEW
- Multiple sampling options and a user-friendly SDK supporting various programming environments
- Certifications: CE, RoHS, GenICam, GigE Vision

These comprehensive features position the ME2P GigE Vision camera series as an excellent solution for demanding image processing applications.
