VA Imaging ME2P-1230-9GC-P-VA 1.1" Color CMOS (Sony IMX304) Camera, 12.3 Megapixels, 4096 x 3000, 9 fps, Global Shutter, C-Mount, GigE Vision Output
GigE Vision Camera IMX304
The Mercury 2 Pro GigE Vision Camera lineup represents an industrial imaging solution equipped with a GigE Vision interface. This series incorporates high-resolution, low-noise global shutter sensors within a compact body. GigE remains the prevalent interface for cameras in conventional machine vision setups. The ME2P series includes enhanced capabilities. Should you require use of these advanced functions, please reach out to us to verify availability or potential implementation. Additionally, it supports "remove parameter limit" to broaden exposure, gain, white balance, and other settings. Exposure durations can extend up to 10 seconds.
This GigE Vision Camera series is suitable for applications that meet the following criteria:
- Compact, high-resolution global shutter camera
- Cable lengths up to 100 meters
- Cost-effective and straightforward cable installation
- Single cable connection for the industrial camera
- Advanced image processing options
For further information, please consult the ME2P GigE Vision camera manual.
MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to rigorous quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (approximately 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Following product launch, each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years, with many models supported for significantly longer periods. Industrial Color Camera
A color camera utilizes a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB values for each pixel are derived by combining the pixel s value with those of adjacent pixels. This process results in images that are generally less sharp than those from monochrome cameras. Because of the RGB filter, each pixel captures up to 66% fewer photons under white light compared to monochrome sensors, reducing light sensitivity. To address this limitation, the following approaches are available:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Raise gain settings
- Extend shutter speed or exposure time
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Select a lens optimized for light sensitivity
Unlike security cameras and webcams, industrial color cameras feature larger, more light-sensitive pixels, delivering superior image quality.
Advanced vision camera features
The ME2P GigE Vision camera series offers both fundamental and sophisticated functions, including:
- Programmable ROI enabling higher frame rates through partial scanning
- Configurable gain, exposure, and white balance (white balance applicable only to color models)
- Support for auto gain, auto exposure, and auto white balance (auto white balance limited to color models)
- Four acquisition modes: single frame, continuous, software trigger, and external trigger
- Compliance with GenICam and GigE Vision standards, compatible with numerous third-party software packages such as HALCON and LabVIEW
- Multiple sampling options and a user-friendly SDK compatible with various programming environments
- Certifications include CE, RoHS, GenICam, and GigE Vision
These comprehensive features position the ME2P GigE Vision camera series as an excellent solution for demanding image processing tasks.
