MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (approximately 45 years of continuous operation). These cameras are TÜV Rheinland certified and come with a 3-year warranty. Each model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following market release, with many models supported for significantly longer. Additional details about our product life cycle management can be found in the linked article.

Industrial Color Camera

A color camera utilizes a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB values for each pixel are calculated by combining the pixel s data with that of its neighboring pixels, which typically results in images that are less sharp compared to monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filter, each individual pixel receives roughly 66% fewer photons under white light conditions than a monochrome sensor, making color cameras less sensitive to light. To address this limitation, the following options can be considered:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Raise the sensor gain
- Extend shutter speed or exposure duration
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Use a lens designed for greater light transmission

Advanced vision camera features

The ME2P USB3 Vision camera series offers both basic and advanced functionalities, including:
- Programmable region of interest (ROI) for higher frame rates via partial scanning
- Adjustable gain, exposure, and white balance settings (white balance applicable only to color models)
- Support for automatic gain, exposure, and white balance adjustments (white balance auto only for color models)
- Four acquisition modes: single frame, continuous, software trigger, and external trigger
- Trigger modes: Frame Start and Frame Burst Start
- Color correction support to enhance image quality (color models only)
- Exposure delay feature to minimize strobe timing effects
- Compatibility with GenICam and GigE Vision standards, enabling integration with various third-party software such as HALCON and LabVIEW
- Optimized software reducing CPU usage on 32/64-bit Windows hosts
- Multiple sample applications and an easy-to-integrate SDK supporting various programming environments
- Compliance with CE, RoHS, GenICam, and USB3 Vision regulations

These comprehensive features make the ME2P USB3 Vision camera series an excellent option for demanding image processing tasks.
