The Mars 10GigE lineup represents an industrial-grade 10GigE vision camera equipped with a 10GigE connection. This interface is ideal for capturing high-resolution or fast-moving images when cable runs exceed 5 meters. It delivers speeds 10 times greater than standard GigE Ethernet cameras and doubles the speed of USB3.
This MARS-2440-35GTC model is suitable if your application meets these criteria:

INDUSTRIAL 10GIGE CAMERA WITHOUT POE

The 10GigE camera series does NOT include Power over Ethernet (PoE). Ensure you order an appropriate I/O cable designed for MARS cameras to supply power.

COLOR INDUSTRIAL CAMERA

An industrial color camera employs a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB value for each pixel is computed by combining the pixel’s value with those of adjacent pixels. This process results in images that are less sharp compared to monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filter on each pixel, under white light conditions, each pixel captures roughly 66% fewer photons than a monochrome sensor, making color cameras less sensitive to light. To address this, the following adjustments can be made:

• Increase illumination intensity
• Raise the gain setting
• Extend shutter speed or exposure duration
• Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
• Use a lens optimized for better light transmission

Color industrial cameras are preferred in scenarios where capturing color details is essential.
