The Mars 10GigE lineup features an industrial 10GigE vision camera equipped with a 10GigE connection. This interface is optimal for capturing high-resolution or high-speed images, especially when cable runs exceed 5 meters. Compared to standard GigE ethernet cameras, 10GigE offers speeds 10 times faster and doubles the speed of USB3.
This MARS-2020-42GTC model is suitable if your requirements include:

INDUSTRIAL 10GIGE CAMERA WITHOUT POE

The 10GigE camera series does NOT support Power over Ethernet (PoE). Ensure to purchase a compatible I/O cable designed for MARS cameras to supply power.

COLOR INDUSTRIAL CAMERA

Industrial color cameras utilize a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB values for each pixel are computed by combining the pixel’s own value with those of adjacent pixels, which generally results in images that are less sharp compared to monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filter, each pixel receives roughly 66% fewer photons under white light conditions than a monochrome sensor, making color cameras less sensitive to light. To address this, the following measures can be taken:

• Increase illumination intensity
• Adjust gain settings upward
• Extend shutter speed or exposure duration
• Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
• Use a lens optimized for greater light transmission

Color industrial cameras are typically employed in scenarios where capturing color data is essential.
