MONOCHROME INDUSTRIAL CAMERA

A monochrome camera, commonly called a black and white camera, provides benefits across numerous industrial uses. While color cameras dominate the security sector, monochrome cameras are preferred in industrial environments due to their high light sensitivity, enhanced image sharpness, and reduced data size compared to color models. These characteristics make them highly suitable for image analysis tasks. By choosing appropriate lighting wavelengths and lens filters, a monochrome camera can maximize its performance, producing high-definition images with excellent contrast.

POE INDUSTRIAL CAMERA

Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology for GigE enables simultaneous delivery of power and data through a single Ethernet cable. This simplifies wiring and shortens installation time in setups that do not require hardware triggering or I/O connections. For applications needing I/O functionality, powering the camera via an I/O connector is recommended. PoE operation results in higher power consumption and increased heat generation compared to I/O-powered cameras. Additionally, PoE-enabled GigE cameras are physically larger due to an extra PCB that isolates Ethernet power and steps down voltage. This additional hardware increases cost relative to non-PoE versions. The primary benefit of PoE is simplified installation by minimizing cable requirements.
