MTBF, warranty & product life cycle
Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras carry TÜV Rheinland certification and include a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for even longer periods. For further insights into our product life cycle management, please review this article.
Industrial monochrome / black&white camera
A monochrome or black and white camera provides distinct benefits across various industrial applications. While color cameras dominate sectors like security and telecommunications, industrial environments frequently prefer black and white models. These cameras offer up to three times greater light sensitivity, deliver sharper images, and reduce data volume compared to color cameras. This makes them particularly effective for image processing tasks. By choosing the appropriate lighting wavelength and lens filters, specific product features can be accentuated, enabling the capture of high-contrast, high-resolution images using monochrome cameras.
I/O port for hardwaretrigger, strobecontrol or PLC communication
The USB camera s I/O interface utilizes an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a standard component within the industrial machine vision sector. This camera includes an input port that functions as a hardware trigger. Its output can activate external lighting devices, such as industrial machine vision illumination. Additionally, the camera provides two GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output) pins, programmable via our SDK. Electrical schematics for the I/O connector are detailed in the manual. For more information, see our article: hardware triggering multiple industrial cameras.
If the I/O port is not required, the camera can be ordered without it. For bulk orders, this option reduces the camera s cost by 10. The minimum order quantity for a USB3 industrial camera without I/O is 10 units. To place an order for the USB3 camera without I/O, please contact us.
