MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually, adhering to stringent quality standards. The mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years post-launch, often extending beyond this period. For additional details on our product life cycle management, please consult this article.

Industrial monochrome / black&white camera

Monochrome, or black and white, cameras provide distinct benefits across various industrial applications. While color cameras dominate the security and telecommunications sectors, industrial uses favor black and white sensors. These cameras offer up to three times greater light sensitivity, deliver sharper images, and reduce data volume compared to color alternatives. This makes them well-suited for image processing tasks. By selecting appropriate lighting and lens filters, enhanced image contrast can be achieved. The industrial monochrome camera captures images with superior contrast and resolution.

I/O port for hardwaretrigger, strobecontrol or PLC communication

The USB camera s I/O interface uses an 8-pin HR25 Hirose connector, a standard in industrial machine vision. This camera includes an input for hardware triggering. Its output can activate external devices such as industrial vision lighting. Additionally, it features two GPIO pins (General Purpose Input/Output) programmable via our SDK. Electrical wiring diagrams for the I/O connector are available in the manual. You may also review our article: hardware triggering multiple industrial cameras.

If the I/O port is not required, the camera can be ordered without it, reducing the price by 10. The minimum order quantity for cameras without I/O is 10 units. To place an order for the industrial USB3 camera without I/O, please contact us.
