MTBF, warranty & product life cycle

Daheng Imaging manufactures over 100,000 industrial cameras annually under stringent quality controls. The mean time between failure (MTBF) exceeds 400,000 hours (equivalent to 45 years of continuous operation). These industrial cameras hold TÜV Rheinland certification and come with a 3-year warranty. Each camera model remains available for a minimum of 7 years following its market release, with many models supported for significantly longer periods. For further details on our product life cycle management, please refer to this article.

Industrial Color Camera

A color camera employs a Bayer filter array to generate color images. The RGB value for each pixel is computed by combining the pixel s value with those of its neighboring pixels, which typically results in images that are less sharp compared to monochrome cameras.
Because of the RGB filter, each pixel receives approximately 66% fewer photons on average under white light conditions than a monochrome pixel. This reduces the light sensitivity of color cameras relative to monochrome ones. To address this limitation, the following options can be considered:
- Increase illumination intensity
- Raise the gain setting
- Extend shutter speed or exposure duration
- Choose a sensor with higher light sensitivity
- Opt for a lens with improved light sensitivity

Advanced vision camera features

The ME2P USB3 Vision camera series offers both fundamental and enhanced features, including:
- Configurable ROI for higher frame rates through partial scanning
- Programmable gain, exposure, and white balance (white balance applicable to color models only)
- Support for auto gain, auto exposure, and auto white balance (auto white balance for color models only)
- Four acquisition modes: single frame, continuous, software-triggered, and external-triggered acquisition
- Trigger modes: Frame Start and Frame Burst Start
- Color correction support to improve image quality (color models only)
- Exposure delay to minimize strobe delay effects
- Compatibility with GenICam and GigE Vision , enabling use with numerous third-party software packages such as HALCON and LabVIEW
- Optimized software suite designed to reduce CPU load on 32/64-bit Windows hosts
- Multiple sample applications and an easy-to-integrate SDK for various programming environments
- Compliance with CE, RoHS, GenICam, and USB3 Vision standards

These comprehensive features make the ME2P USB3 Vision camera series an excellent option for demanding image processing tasks.
